Well it is that time again when luckily for us Karin's new job told her to take time off for holidays the same time I had annual leave from the Railways so we booked on line to Magnolia Bungalows in Maspalomas in Gran Canarias  http://www.canariasnatura.com/ and they had a Bungalow available so next was the flights. On line Thompson fly was the cheapest for us http://www.thomsonfly.com/en/index.html only this time from Luton so a first for us but oh so nice. What a lovely airport and it is getting bigger and better all the time. Airport parking was pretty reasonable.

This was to be our 2nd trip to Magnolia Bungalows and it was just as good if not better then our first trip. When we arrived at about 8pm on Saturday 1st December 2007 June greeted us like old friends and it was so lovely to see her again. Damn that girl works hard to make a holiday special. Also Bjorn was still there cooking his gourmets' and luckily for him a Norwegian friend of ours posted some BAMSEMUMS to us to give to Bjorn. These are a marshmallow sweet from Norway only in the shape of a bear and covered in chocolate. We have to say June is still collecting her rubber ducks so if you go there do remember to take a duck. She is in competition with her neighbour on how many unusual ducks they can get and so far June is winning bless her. It is now called 'The Okey Dokey Duck Corral'

We were extremely lucky this time as we had a poolside Bungalow and it was superb. As always the Bungalows/ rooms were clean, spacious and have all the facilities you could wish for. 2 ring hob, utensils, electric toaster & kettle, fridge, television and even a radio cassette/CD player. These people even left a bottle of water for us, a tea towel and even washing up liquid. this time around we had twin beds instead of a single bed which suited us, means either of us do not hog the duvet. The bathroom is spacious too with bath/shower, toilet, bidet and sink and a humungous mirror to check your sun tan. They have a safe where you can hire a key and also have a remote to hire for the air conditioning should you need it.

The pool and loungers are washed everyday and the rooms are cleaned regularly and towel changed regular too.

Once again we had no energy to see excursions and spent all day at the pool side meeting new friends and drinking from the bistro bar. During the night is the ever lovely June & Bjorn and on their days off Marcel takes over. During the day the ever lovely Petra looks after you for breakfasts and daytime snacks. We have found out that June collects her ducks but Petra collects teddy bears so when we come back in 08 Petra we will bring a Teddy for you.In the reception office John or Maurice look after your every need. There is also a small shop for water fruit juice and supplies and the office can arrange car & cycle hire for you or taxi. On the website they offer transfer to and from the airport which works out around £20 each way and well worth it.

If you want a naturist totally relaxing holiday then this is the place for you for all year round sunshine. In June 08 the complex will be shut for refurbishment and we are in contact with the owners who will let us know exactly when and what is being done so when the information gets to us we will put it on here for you all to read.
