Welcome to Tom & Karin's Our Adventures Page |

Well where do we start? We have been enjoying naturist venues for so many years that we do not know where to start or which is our favourite place. These are just some of the ones we have visted. UK VENUES Our very first place together was Rio's spa in Kentish Town London. It was a cold November evening when we entered a tropical feel indoor spa and at the time they only had one sauna, one steam room, 2 small Jacuzzis and a ice cold plunge pool for the brave ones after a session in the steam room. BBbbrrrrr. They used to supply soft drinks, sandwiches, tea and coffee all inclusive but alas as always some were too greedy and they stopped the sandwiches. Now they bought the shop next door and expanded with an indoor swimming pool, much larger Jacuzzi big enough to fit 30 people and an extra steam room and sauna. We came out at about 2am to thick snow on the car. what a contrast. We have used Rio's many times when we lived in London. http://www.rios.co.uk/main.htm
Another place near London is Eureka sun club near Brands Hatch in Kent. This fabulous outdoor setting is a suntrap and although many years since we have visited there it has always been a good club for facilities. We heard it is even better now so well done. It had a massive outdoor pool and 2 sun lawns and was always popular with families and even singles. It is strange for first timers though as some friends of ours found out when they took their family with us. We parked our car and started to disrobe to skin and simply walked through the grounds and lay down to sunbathe. http://www.eureka-naturist-club.co.uk/
Next on our list and these places are not in date order is Silverleighs indoor spa. Again near Brands Hatch it is a wonderful club with overnight B& B facilities. When you park the car it looks like a humble little bungalow but walk through the door and it is Dr Who's flippin Tardis. The place is massive with changing rooms, sun beds, Jacuzzi, showers, Steam room, Sauna, large indoor swimming pool and even a cafeteria bar for snacks and light refreshments. They even hold massage schools there. http://www.silverleigh.com/
Holkham Beach. Norfolk. UK. This fabulous beach is near Wells on the Sea near Hunstanton. Well it says that on the map. It is more like 30 minutes drive from Hunstanton. Once you park opposite Queen Elizabeth Lodge private car park (yes private means you pay) then look forward to a good 30 to 40 minute stroll to the nude beach. The beach itself is pure golden sand and as beaches go one of the best we have been to. Down side is no facilities whatsoever. http://n-2.org.uk/nuff/pages/beaches/holkham.htm Merryhills sun club near Norwich in Norfolk is also a lovely little club with good facilities. Nice kidney shaped swimming pool and sun lawns and for those energetic ones Tennis and boules. They hold a music festival each year and it just gets bigger and bigger each time so book well in advance. We enjoyed our week stay in 2002 and bought our house while we were there so a expensive holiday for us but well worth it. http://www.merryhillleisure.co.uk/
Croft country club is by far the best UK club we have been to and right on our doorstep too so obviously this is our favourite. Only 8 miles away from us this beautiful club has so many facilities that we are bound to forget what they have and have not. Best to look on their website for what they do and don't do. Our first day there Sheila made us feel so welcome we felt like we had been members for years. They hold regular theme parties and socials to make it special. The swimming pool was superb and the temperature just right. It was a shame to get dressed each time to come home. They have facilities for camping and caravanning. Go on, be a devil, you will love this club. www.croftcountryclub.co.uk ABROAD VENUES La Jenny in France is a fabulous massive resort of 300 acres of woodland area and approximately 3500 nudists from all ages of 9 months to 90 years all enjoying the freedom and comfort of nudity. We spent our Honeymoon here in 1999 during the eclipse so when everyone around us wore silly glasses to see the sun we were applying sun cream to enhance the sun. It is right on the Atlantic coast so you can stroll nude from the chalet to the beach or swimming pool. Facilities again far too many to mention but this is definitely a family resort and have everything from Archery to Horse riding and Scuba diving lessons. A humungous swimming pool and leisure facilities are second to none. Brilliant club house with disco in the evenings and restaurants and even a pizza bar. We even went shopping in the supermarket nude. Now that's a buzz. We booked our holiday through Peng Travel who supplied everything including the maps and ferry information. See them in our links page. http://www.lajenny.fr/sommaire_uk.php3 Ahh yes, Vera Playa in Almeria. Spain. The only 4 star nude hotel we know of and it is just that. Glass and marble everywhere and beautiful facilities including a well kept swimming pool and get this.....a nude crazy golf course. Wicked man.....ahem back to 4 star? This place is fabulous and right on the beach so midnight strolls are a must nude. We couldn't fault this place and again booked through Peng Travel inclusive of food and flights. How bad is that for a nude holiday. A personal gripe though and it is only for us, they do not take too kindly to photographs being taken around the place so be careful with your camera. If you go on a textile holiday 2 countries we enjoyed textile but have nude beaches are Menorca Spanish island the nude beach is St Thomas but the one we tried and liked was Son Bou and beautiful golden sand. And if you go textile to Gran Canaria try the 5 miles of dunes and sandy beaches of Maspalomas which are also nudist and wonderful. Take fruit to the dunes and feed the lizards. Brilliant it is.
Our favourite place so far is Magnolia Bungalows We visited These bungalows in March 2007 and loved it here. They are in Maspolomas Gran Canaria and it is a complex of 28 bungalows all nude. Lovely. The swimming pool is ample sized and so are the bungalows. In fact the complex is so good we have booked to go 1st December till 8th 2007 and we can't wait. The complex has it's own bistro bar for food and drinks and we seldom left the area except for guilt shopping. (cigarettes and booze for everyone else but us) The staff from cleaners to bar hosts were superb and nothing seemed to be too much trouble to them. We did however go to Yumbo centre one night for my T bone steak. MMmmmm. This really is a fabulous complex and all year round sunshine means you have a pretty good tan whatever time of year you go there and this is the only nude complex on the island of Gran Canarias. There are complex's on other Canarias islands and can be booked through either Peng Travel or Chalfont holidays. http://www.canariasnatura.com/
